Thinkers as Alberti (1401-72), that he praised that the streets would have to be traced the way them rivers, Filarete (1400-69), that in its drawings and descriptions he suggested models of fluvial cities and in Leonardo of the Vincci (1452-1519), it is distinguished its social concerns of the free access of the workers and craftsmen to the water for intermediary of the analysis of illustrations of fluvial canals penetrating in the cities. Thomas Lives, no longer High Renaissance in its workmanship the utopia, of 1516, idealizing some types of cities in imaginary ' ' island of the Utopia' ' , it describes, in the main one of them, the presence of waters delimiting the city, the florescentes and abundant gardens and the green cinturo of the field. For Choay: ' ' Possible in such a way to read in this workmanship nostalgia of a last order as the futurista intuition of future social transformations (…), in the measure where it considers a model of organization of the space susceptible to be carried through and with capacity to transform the world natural (…) and adopts the concept of solidary space-model of a conception of history and the work supported for a system of valores' ' , (Choay, 1985, P. 152-62). We perceive here, in this reading of the utopia of Lives the overcoming of the idea, gift in the Renaissance, of a intocada nature associate to the myth of the sacred one. In the opinion of Choay the text of Lives can be seen by means of dimensions moral, religious, economic and poetical; destarte, what we want to detach is the vitality of this text, adjusted to the problematic ones of the occidental societies and the culture. Therefore, one is about a workmanship that announce questions and proposals that had echoed in the posterior utopian authors: the limitation of the size of the cities, the culture of gardens in its interior and the integration city-nature.
