Big Brother Or Big Bother?

The honeymoon has ended, and Louis is getting a little tired of being a big brother it seems. For a while it was a pleasant novelty to have Jeffrey and Lily around, but now he’s pretty much had enough … they just take too much of Mom & Dad’s time and energy, time and energy that by all rights should be directed at him!

I’m probably making too much of it, but it’s true that he doesn’t get the same type of attention that used to be his by right when he was an only. Still, we’re trusting that he’ll get over it eventually. Continue Reading »

A Quick Catch Up, And Some Big News

Sorry about not posting much recently. We’ve been very busy, both with the day to day tasks like getting Louis to preschool and with some bigger events.

Not long ago we decided to expand the business, and so our toy store now includes a cafe. Nothing fancy … coffee drinks, baked goods, and lots of kid-friendly smoothies and drinks. The cafe special (and my favorite) is a banana cream milkshake … mmmm.

The Art of Fish Tacos

Had a lovely weekend … went with my family to a local art fair and wandered amongst the crowds. Well, that makes it sound a little more calm & peaceful than it really was. In fact, it was wall to wall people, since this particular art fair has become incredibly crowded from year to year as it becomes more popular. But we’ve learned to go during the early part of the day, so we still had a great time.
