The honeymoon has ended, and Louis is getting a little tired of being a big brother it seems. For a while it was a pleasant novelty to have Jeffrey and Lily around, but now he’s pretty much had enough … they just take too much of Mom & Dad’s time and energy, time and energy that by all rights should be directed at him!

I’m probably making too much of it, but it’s true that he doesn’t get the same type of attention that used to be his by right when he was an only. Still, we’re trusting that he’ll get over it eventually. Continue Reading »

Sorry about not posting much recently. We’ve been very busy, both with the day to day tasks like getting Louis to preschool and with some bigger events.

Not long ago we decided to expand the business, and so our toy store now includes a cafe. Nothing fancy … coffee drinks, baked goods, and lots of kid-friendly smoothies and drinks. The cafe special (and my favorite) is a banana cream milkshake … mmmm.

I just got off the phone with an old friend who lives in Venice. He was reminiscing about his visit to the Monta Food and Wine Festival. Oh! how i miss the nice crunchy bread that i tried there!

Right now in Venice its dry, hot, and sometimes a little rainy. St. Louis Park’s weather isn’t so different … here it’s also dry, hot, and sometimes rainy, but on the whole the summer weather in Minnesota is much nicer.
